Wendy Moore is stepping down from her executive post at Foxtel, but fans of Selling Houses Australia won’t lose her just yet.
After six years as Executive Director of Entertainment Content and Channels, Moore has resigned from the role, capping off a tenure that expanded significantly in recent years. Most recently, she oversaw the platform’s Original Scripted and Unscripted output alongside Foxtel’s lifestyle slate. She had also absorbed key commissioning responsibilities following Alison Hurbert-Burns’ departure earlier this year.
Her decision to exit had been in discussion with Foxtel leadership for some time. In a note to staff, new CEO Hilary Perchard praised Moore’s creative and strategic leadership, but placed particular emphasis on her work fostering talent and building internal culture.
Moore’s replacement will be sought through a global search, according to Foxtel. In the meantime, she’ll remain with the company through a transition period running until late 2025.
While Moore is leaving the boardroom, she’s not leaving the screen. She’ll continue in her on-air role with Selling Houses Australia, which is set to return for an 18th season. The format remains a key asset in Foxtel’s lifestyle portfolio, and Moore’s visibility within the show likely factored into the decision to retain her onscreen.
Moore confirmed she’ll be shifting focus to a new business venture, though she has yet to reveal specific plans. The move marks a personal pivot rather than a full industry exit.
For Foxtel, it’s the second major content leadership change in six months. How the company reshapes its executive structure going forward will be closely watched across the sector.
