A new reality series, West Coast Cops, follows seven British police officers as they relocate to Western Australia, trading familiar streets for a vastly different environment. The show premieres Friday, March 28, at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Here’s the Lowdown: The eight-part series, narrated by Lisa McCune, provides a close look at the challenges these officers and their families face as they adapt to life and work in Australia. Viewers will see them undergo rigorous training, including tasers and firearms, while also navigating the personal hurdles of moving to a new country.
What This Means Now: West Coast Cops gives viewers a unique perspective on the lives of police officers, showing both the professional and personal sides of their experiences. Episode one introduces Detective Constable Anna Miller and her family, as well as Sergeant Ben Woods, who takes a step back in his career for a new life in Perth.
The Bigger Picture: Beyond the individual stories, the series also displays the important work of the WA Police Force in keeping the community safe. It shows the training process for new recruits and the challenges of policing in a vast and often unforgiving landscape. It is produced by Prospero Productions.
