It appears the Staten Island vampires are trading their usual haunts for a road trip to New Hampshire in the upcoming episode of What We Do in the Shadows. “Nandor’s Army” sees the gang setting out on a quest to retrieve Nandor, who, according to the preview, seems to have misplaced something rather important: his mind.
Now, temporary lapses in sanity aren’t exactly unheard of in this household. But a full-blown mental vacation requiring an out-of-state retrieval mission? That suggests Nandor’s latest existential crisis has reached a whole new level of eccentricity.
Whatever the specifics, the prospect of the vampires attempting a coordinated intervention in unfamiliar territory is rich with comedic potential. Picture Laszlo trying to blend in at a roadside diner, Nadja bartering with a farmer for information using ancient Romanian curses, and Guillermo desperately trying to keep the whole situation from spiraling completely out of control (again). It’s a recipe for disaster, and I, for one, am here for it.
