Wading through the relentless tide of “must-have” products can feel like a full-time job these days. Do you really need that air fryer that promises restaurant-quality French fries? Is that LED face mask the secret to eternal youth, or just a very expensive night light? Channel 4’s “What’s the Big Deal: Britain’s Best Buys?” aims to cut through the marketing hype and get to the truth.
In this Friday’s episode, presenter Natalie Cassidy turns a skeptical eye to some of Britain’s most talked-about products, from pizza ovens to smart scales and those curious scented water bottles that claim to flavor water simply through the power of smell. Six British households will be putting these items through their paces, providing real-world feedback on whether they live up to the hype.
And in a segment sure to raise a few eyebrows (and perhaps a few noses), Cassidy bravely volunteers to test the efficacy of natural deodorants in a science lab. Will they hold up under pressure, or will the results be, shall we say, less than fragrant?
