Great American Family has announced that production on the second season of its popular series, When Hope Calls, is set to begin this month. The eight-episode season will premiere in January 2025.

Based on Janette Oke’s novels, When Hope Calls is a spin-off of the beloved series When Calls the Heart. The show follows two reunited sisters who open an orphanage in the small town of Brookfield.

The second season will feature the return of familiar faces, including Cindy Busby, Christopher Russell, Nick Bateman, Wendy Crewson, Hanneke Talbot, Morgan Kohan, and Ryan-James Hatanaka. New characters will also be introduced.

Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media, expressed his enthusiasm for the series, stating, “We were fortunate early on to understand that Janette Oke’s faith-filled characters had such rich origins that building entertainment universes from this world would present themselves over and over.”
