Who’s Calling the Race? TNT Sports Sets Its Team for the NASCAR In-Season Challenge

TV News Just In

When the green flag drops on the first ever NASCAR In-Season Challenge, viewers will hear some familiar voices. TNT Sports has announced the lineup of broadcasters and reporters who will bring the action to viewers across TNT, truTV, and Max for the new five-week event.

Calling the races from the booth will be a trio of names well-known to NASCAR fans: Dale Earnhardt Jr., Steve Letarte, and Adam Alexander. That’s a solid group bringing a mix of driver insight, crew chief knowledge, and broadcasting experience.

Before and after the racing heats up, Shannon Spake will host the “NASCAR Nation” shows. She’ll be joined by analysts Jamie McMurray and Parker Kligerman, offering previews, analysis, and reaction to the on-track battles. Down in the pits, getting the scoop from the teams and drivers, will be Marty Snider, Danielle Trotta, and Alan Cavanna.

For those looking for something a little different, truTV will have its own weekly Altcast for the In-Season Challenge. That broadcast will be led by Jeff Burton and Larry McReynolds, giving viewers an alternative way to experience the races. Plus, Mamba Smith joins B/R Racing as a correspondent and will contribute to TNT’s coverage throughout the event.

This all kicks off Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The In-Season Challenge is part of a new seven-year deal between TNT Sports and NASCAR. Beyond the races, Max subscribers will get exclusive access to the second half of Cup Series practices and qualifying, along with a “NASCAR Driver Cam” experience letting fans watch every driver during the races. It looks like TNT Sports is rolling out a full team for this new era of NASCAR coverage.
