Wife on Strike returns with the stories of two households facing domestic imbalances. In this episode, we meet Shaun and Vicky, as well as Chrissy and John, who are dealing with their own unique challenges within their respective homes.
Shaun, a karate enthusiast, moved in with Vicky and her two daughters, Anna and Layla, at the start of the COVID lockdown. Eager to find his place in the family, Shaun took on the majority of household duties, including cooking and cleaning. However, three years later, with a growing menagerie of pets, Shaun has reached his breaking point.
He decides to go on strike, but Vicky questions whether Shaun truly contributes as much as he believes. As the strike unfolds, Vicky encourages her daughters to take on more responsibilities with the pets, and she herself comes to recognize the need for change.
Meanwhile, in Cornwall, 55-year-old Chrissy has been caring for her father in their shared family bungalow while also managing a full-time job and all the household chores. Every Saturday, she dedicates the entire day to cleaning, while her husband, John, leaves the house.
Fed up with the imbalance, Chrissy decides to go on strike, leaving John and her father to manage on their own. John quickly resorts to ordering fish and chips, and he struggles with basic tasks like organizing the airing cupboard.
