In “Building Confidence,” center director Jan throws down a challenge, entrusting a new team leader with a critical task: caring for two very sick hawks. Hawks, majestic predators in the wild, are fragile patients in captivity, especially when critically ill. The responsibility is immense, testing not only the leader’s skills in avian care but also their ability to manage pressure and make sound judgments under duress.
