Will Ferrell Teed Up for New Netflix Comedy Series ‘Golf’

With a top team both in front of and behind the camera, Netflix is teeing up a new comedy series.

Will Ferrell, in his first leading role for a traditional scripted comedy series, will play a fictional golf legend in the aptly named Golf.

The series, which has been created by Ferrell in collaboration with Ramy Youssef and Josh Rabinowitz, has already been given a ten-episode order by the streamer, although a premiere date is yet to be confirmed.

Youssef, known for his work on the hit series Ramy, will also step in front of the camera for this project, while both he and Rabinowitz will serve as showrunners and executive producers.

The impressive list of executive producers also includes Ferrell, alongside Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor from Gloria Sanchez Productions, and Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue from T-Street. Cairo Cowboy’s Andy Campagna completes the lineup.

This is not the first time Ferrell has stepped into the world of golf for a comedic take, having previously starred in the 2008 film Step Brothers where he played a lazy, golf-loving man-child.
