The perpetually rumpled Will Trent returns to ABC, tackling a disturbing case that hits close to home (or at least close to the orphanage where he grew up). This week’s episode, “Abigail B.,” sees Will teaming up with APD’s finest, Angie Polaski, to unravel a child trafficking operation that promises to expose some seriously dark secrets within the city’s underbelly.
Meanwhile, on the lighter side of Atlanta law enforcement (ha!), Ormewood finds himself playing bodyguard to none other than Ariana Madix. Apparently, even reality TV stars need protection from overzealous fans. What starts as a routine security gig quickly turns violent, leaving Ormewood to question his life choices.
“Will Trent,” based on Karin Slaughter’s novels, has always been a show that doesn’t flinch from difficult subject matter. The combination of a twisted criminal case and a celebrity cameo has the potential for either a compellingly gritty episode or a spectacular train wreck. I’m hoping for the former, but with network television, you never know. “Will Trent” airs Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
