William & Catherine: Putting Family First (5, Saturday, May 17, 2025)

Channel 5 Numeric

Channel 5 takes a closer look at the modern monarchy this Saturday with “William & Catherine: Putting Family First.” This documentary explores how the Prince and Princess of Wales are reshaping royal traditions by prioritizing their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – above all else.

Through rarely seen archival video and interviews with those who have worked closely with the royal family, the film examines how William and Catherine are charting a new course, one that contrasts sharply with the more formal upbringing experienced by Prince William. We’ll get a look into how the couple reject the traditional “stiff upper lip,” encouraging their children to express themselves and embrace everyday activities, including cooking in the royal kitchen.

The documentary takes a deeper look at the motivations behind this shift, what they’ve learned from past royal missteps, and how their approach to parenting is redefining what it means to serve the crown. The programme airs Saturday, May 17 at 7:30 PM on Channel 5.
