Paramount+ has announced that the documentary series “WILLIE NELSON & FAMILY” will premiere exclusively on the streaming service, starting on Thursday, December 21st. The four-part series explores the life of music icon Willie Nelson, providing a comprehensive look at the 90-year-old’s seven-decade career. The series delves into Nelson’s personal and professional life, highlighting his achievements as a singer-songwriter and guitarist, while also examining his activism and advocacy efforts.

The documentary, directed by Thom Zimny, Oren Moverman, and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, features interviews and perspectives from Nelson’s family members, fellow musicians, friends, and other individuals who have been influenced by and have influenced the artist. Keith Wortman and Mark Rothbaum served as the project’s developers, working alongside Nelson himself.
