Live coverage of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships begins Monday, June 30, at 10:30 AM on BBC Two and 2:00 PM on BBC One, marking the official start of the sport’s biggest fortnight on grass.

All eyes are on Carlos Alcaraz, who returns to Centre Court aiming for a third consecutive Wimbledon crown. The Spaniard arrives in top form after his recent French Open win over Jannik Sinner, setting up another high-stakes run through the draw.

Veteran powerhouse Novak Djokovic also returns, chasing his 25th Grand Slam singles title. With seven Wimbledon trophies already to his name, the Serbian legend remains a major threat despite questions around fitness and momentum.

On the women’s side, world number one Aryna Sabalenka leads the field. She’s yet to win a Slam this year after falling short in earlier finals but remains one of the most consistent threats on tour.

BBC’s coverage, anchored by Isa Guha, will follow play across both BBC One and BBC Two throughout the tournament. The broadcast will cover matches from every round, including live updates, in-depth commentary, and feature segments from the grounds of the All England Club.

With 128 players in each singles draw and an increasingly global field, Wimbledon’s opening day sets the tone for a tournament defined by tradition, unpredictability, and pressure.

Monday’s broadcast kicks off a two-week schedule of continuous play, with coverage available live and on demand through the BBC’s full broadcast and streaming platforms.
