Property development brother and sister duo, Scarlette and Stuart Douglas, are back for the fifth episode of Worst House on the Street’s second season. This time, they’re heading to Norbury in south London to lend their creative expertise to a Kiwi couple, Jamie and Adam. Having lived in their dated terraced house for just three months, the couple is eager to renovate and transform it into their dream home while sticking to a tight budget.
Scarlette and Stuart focus on the heart of the home: the kitchen and dining area. Their goal is to create a modern open-plan entertainment space that will breathe new life into the house. To achieve this, Scarlette takes Jamie and Adam on a unique shopping trip to a showroom specializing in ex-display kitchens. It’s a clever strategy to find a high-end kitchen at a fraction of the cost, helping the couple maximize their budget.
The pressure is on to complete the renovation quickly, as Jamie and Adam plan to live in the house during the transformation, even resorting to using the gym for their showering needs!
