The surviving Yellowjackets, having endured a brutal winter in the wilderness, are tantalizingly close to rescue. But as Showtime’s “Yellowjackets” reveals in this Sunday’s episode, “A Normal, Boring Life,” the prospect of returning to civilization isn’t as universally appealing as one might think. Some of the group have found a strange sort of peace in their isolated world, a world free from the constraints and expectations of their former lives. Will they be willing to leave it all behind?
Meanwhile, back in the present day, Shauna’s carefully constructed suburban life is thrown into chaos by the surprise arrival of an old teammate. This blast from the past threatens to unearth long-buried secrets, secrets that could unravel the fragile peace Shauna has managed to maintain.
“Yellowjackets” continues its masterful blend of survival thriller and psychological drama, exploring the lingering effects of trauma and the difficult choices these women have made, both in the past and the present.
“Yellowjackets: A Normal, Boring Life” airs Sunday, March 30 on Showtime.
