‘Yellowjackets’ Renewed for Season 4 at Showtime Following Breakout Season 3

Yellowjackets Key Art

Showtime isn’t done with the wilderness just yet. The network has officially ordered a fourth season of Yellowjackets, coming on the heels of a record-breaking third season that wrapped April 11.

The series remains a standout for Showtime, blending psychological horror, survival drama, and time-jumping character work in a way that’s helped it break through with both critics and a global audience. Season 3 expanded the show’s scope and reach, delivering franchise-best numbers across linear and streaming.

Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson—who continue to executive produce—the series tracks a high school girls’ soccer team after their plane crashes in the wilderness, while also following their lives decades later. The ensemble includes Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress and Lauren Ambrose, with Season 3 bolstering the roster with Elijah Wood, Hilary Swank, Joel McHale and Ashley Sutton in recurring roles.

Produced by Lionsgate Television and Creative Engine, Yellowjackets has become a tentpole title for Showtime’s original slate and one of Paramount Global’s buzziest scripted assets.

Production details and a release window for Season 4 have yet to be announced.
