Spring has arrived, and with it comes a wave of new life—and new challenges—for the farmers in the Season 2 Finale of A Yorkshire Farm. The season wraps up Friday, July 11, 2025, at 7:00 PM on 5, with emergencies, ancient sheep, and some adorable miniature donkeys all making an appearance.
JB Gill takes us to North Ronaldsay to meet fifth-generation sheep farmers who care for an ancient breed, dating back 6,000 years, that eats seaweed. It’s a rare look at a unique part of farming history. Back at Cannon Hall Farm, Rob and Dave are in a race against time to save a shorthorn calf in trouble, while Ruth faces her own emergency in the lambing shed.
Yorkshire Vet Peter Wright joins farmer Roger at the Oban cattle auction, hoping to buy a Highland cow for the farm. Meanwhile, JB Gill heads to Wales to meet Danny and Tenesia Pascal, who create natural skincare products from plants they grow themselves. In Northern Ireland, we meet farmers Rachel and Stephen McMaster, who fell into pig farming unexpectedly.
The episode also shows Rob and Dave working a cold nightshift in the lambing shed, and the Campbell family in Scotland bringing their ewes down from the highlands for lambing season. The season closes with Rob and Dave eagerly awaiting miniature donkeys and a Shetland pony at Cannon Hall Farm, a sweet end to another year on the farm.
