From heartwarming puppy tales to urgent alpaca ailments, “The Yorkshire Vet” returns this Thursday with another dose of veterinary life in the picturesque English countryside. This week, the Skeldale team faces a diverse roster of patients, each with their own unique challenges.
Peter Wright takes on a particularly touching case involving a nine-week-old Cockapoo puppy born with a deformed leg. Determined to give the adorable pup a fighting chance at finding a loving home, Peter performs a delicate operation. Meanwhile, Julian Norton attends to a rather more imposing patient: an elderly, matriarchal alpaca facing health complications.
Shona Searson is called upon to help Dante, a gentle giant of a Shire horse who serves as the beloved mascot of a local care home. Dante needs surgery so he can continue his important work bringing joy to the residents. And finally, Matt Smith finds himself dealing with a difficult emergency calving situation, a solo test of his veterinary skills and quick thinking.
