It becomes a race against time for Peter to intervene and save both mother and lamb. The day presents challenges of all sizes, as Julian Norton is called on to operate on a tiny rescue hedgehog with a severely injured foot.
At the main practice, Martin Paterson undertakes a complex and delicate spinal surgery on a French bulldog, a procedure where there is no margin for error. Meanwhile, over at Cannon Hall Farm, the ongoing alpaca wars may finally be coming to an end, as David Melleney decides it is time to take the troublesome Stanley in hand to restore peace to the paddock once and for all.
