The Young and the Restless Thursday, November 21, Recap “Phyllis Wakes Up!”

The Young and the Restless Key Art

On Thursday’s The Young and the Restless, Phyllis Summers, post-car crash, finally rejoined the land of the conscious, much to the relief of Summer, Daniel, and young Lucy. While this family reunion offered a moment of respite, the episode quickly shifted gears into a high-octane mix of heartbreak and unexpected lip-locks.

Summer, still simmering over Chance’s accusations against Daniel, delivered a decisive blow to their relationship, opting for a clean break. Meanwhile, Billy Abbott, nursing his wounded pride after Jack’s Jabot job rejection, found solace (and perhaps something more) in a surprisingly passionate kiss with Sally Spectra.

Daniel, wrestling with a hefty dose of guilt over Phyllis’ accident, found a much-needed support system in Elena and Lucy. The episode also offered glimpses into other ongoing storylines, including Lucy’s touching bedside stories for her unconscious grandmother, Kyle’s hopeful outlook on Phyllis’ recovery (leading to a tender moment with Summer that didn’t go unnoticed by Chance), Jack and Diane’s discussion of Kyle’s potential co-CEO role at Jabot, and the lingering fallout from Jill’s Abbott-Chancellor betrayal.
