Over in Genoa City, things are brewing at Crimson Lights, and it’s not just the coffee. Claire Newman’s suspicions about Jordan are reignited when she recognizes Jordan’s specific oolong tea order. You know, the kind of detail that only a seasoned soap opera viewer would pick up on.
Despite fearing she’d been made, Jordan returns to Crimson Lights, where she thanks the server, further fueling Claire’s suspicions. Claire calls out Jordan’s name, but Jordan tries to slip away unnoticed. Is this a genuine attempt to avoid confrontation, or a calculated move to lure Claire into a trap? Knowing Genoa City, it’s probably the latter.
Meanwhile, in a less caffeinated but far more dire situation, Sharon Newman finds herself trapped in a sewage basement, desperately trying to reach a pole that could be her only means of escape. Head writer Josh Griffith has hinted at life-threatening danger for both Sharon and Phyllis Summers, so it’s unlikely Sharon’s escape attempt will be successful.
The question remains how Phyllis will end up in the same predicament as Sharon. Is this a coincidence, or is someone orchestrating their misfortune? And more importantly, will anyone notice they’re missing before it’s too late?
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 PM on CBS.
