The Young and the Restless Key Art

The Young and the Restless serves up a cocktail of questionable decisions and backroom deals in Thursday’s episode, airing June 12. First up: Claire, consumed by Cole’s hospital crisis, gives a surprisingly casual thumbs-up to Kyle’s trip to Nice with Audra. Kyle, no doubt thrilled (and likely oblivious to Audra’s ulterior motives), views it as a business opportunity—but viewers know Audra sees it as the final nail in the Kyle-and-Summer coffin, a plan fully endorsed by Victor.

Speaking of Victor, he’s busy bargaining with Chelsea, who claims to have the goods on Aristotle Dumas’s true identity. Victor, ever the skeptic, plays hardball, demanding proof before he agrees to stop his smear campaign against Billy. Chelsea, certain she has the upper hand, pushes back, insisting her intel is worth the price of admission—namely, leaving Billy alone.

The catch? While Chelsea sounds confident, she admits to lacking hard evidence, leaving Victor in a familiar position: Will he honor his word even if Chelsea delivers? The bigger question: Is she even right about Dumas? Speculation among fans points to a Cane Ashby recast—played by Billy Flynn—being the mastermind behind the Dumas storyline.

Elsewhere, Nate might finally start getting wise to Audra’s games. Thursday looks to be a setup day in Genoa City—positioning chess pieces for maximum drama down the line.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
