Adam Faith (whose real name was Terence Nelhams) was better known as a singer during the late 1950’s and early sixties before he moved into acting, scoring a major hit with Budgie in which he played the title role of a petty crook very out of his depth. In the 1990’s he also scored highly in BBC drama Love Hurts. Key movies included That’ll Be The Day, Stardust and McVicar.
Something of a renaissance man, Faith was also a record producer (mentoring Leo Sayer) and a financial expert.
Born: 23 Jun 1940 in Acton, London, England.
