Bear’s Mission with Rob Brydon airs Fri 3 Nov on ITV
Comedy legend Rob Brydon is well known for his role as Uncle Bryn in the sitcom Gavin & Stacey, as well as starring in Hollywood blockbusters and performing his sell-out standup shows on stage. But Rob’s rise to fame was not an easy one, and he almost gave up before getting his big TV break at the age of 35.
Rob joins adventurer Bear Grylls on a journey through the country that shaped who he is today, as they embark on a mission to cross the wilds of Snowdonia. Over the years, Rob has learned to deal with heckles and stage fright, but will he be able to hold his nerve when faced with the Welsh wilderness? The pair head into the mountains by helicopter, and their trip begins with a 30 foot drop into freezing water followed by a bracing swim.
As their mission progresses, Bear challenges Rob with a series of daunting and exhausting tasks, including a 200-foot abseil and a journey through a pitch-black abandoned mine. Will the comedian’s legendary humour hold out and will the difficulties the duo face reveal a new side to Rob Brydon?
Bear’s Mission with Rob Brydon airs Friday 3 November 2017 from 9.00pm-10.00pm on ITV.
