The Entire Universe Brian Cox Eric Idle BBC 2016

After more than 40 years or more Rutland Weekend Television is back on the airwaves!! But for one night only as Eric Idle joins forces with Professor Brian Cox to tell the story of the entire Universe.

The Entire Universe is a unique collaboration between Eric Idle and Brian Cox, alongside the creators of the Spamalot musical. It tells the story of the birth of the universe – in just one hour.

Brian Cox agrees to present a scientific lecture for Rutland Weekend Television, but when he arrives at the studio he soon realises that Eric has produced a glittering musical, choreographed by Arlene Phillips.

Alongside Brian and Eric, Warwick Davis plays the part of The Big Bang, Noel Fielding takes on Einstein and Hannah Waddingham tackles time, while Robin Ince attempts to keep order.

The Entire Universe airs on BBC Two on Monday 26 December, 2016 from 9.30pm to 10.30pm
