In the first episode of new series Let’s Get A Good Thing Going, premiering on Monday 18 December at 9.15am on BBC One and presented by Kevin Duala, pictured above, four Cheltenham residents pitch their dream projects. All they need is cash to kickstart their ideas.
Having donated towards the community fund, local residents gather at the iconic racecourse to hear the pitches and vote for the winner.
Chris, who runs an educational garden, wants to help the whole community to put on a show. Football coach Brian wants to spread the word about Powerchair football, so that disabled and able-bodied teams can play together.
Working in one of the most deprived parts of town, Lizzie wants to unite her multicultural community through international food evenings, while Michelle wants to encourage locals to up-cycle unwanted clothes and learn skills in the process.
Viewers return four weeks later to see the winning project in action, and find out what has happened with not only the winner but the runners-up too.
Let’s Get A Good Thing Going Episode 1 (of 5) airs Monday 18 December 2017 from 9.15am-10.00am on BBC One.
