Masterpiece with Alan Titchmarsh Premieres Mon 15 May on ITV

Masterpiece Alan Titchmarsh

Masterpiece is a brand new series, premiering Monday 15 May (and running each weekday afternoon) which sees Alan Titchmarsh and his co-host Rachel Houston-Holland pit antique and history fans against each other in this game show set in uniquely grand surroundings and in some of the most stunning stately homes across Britain.

In each episode across three Masterpiece Challenge rounds, our contestants – made up of three teams of two, recruited from all four corners of the UK – attempt to attach values, identify and age an extensive range of antiques and iconic memorabilia presented to them by Alan.

Each round is designed to test the contestants’ amateur antiques skills, but will be easy for the audience at home to play along with too. The grand locations featured in this week’s shows are Hever Castle in Kent – once home to Henry VIII’s wives Anne Boleyn and Anne of Cleves, Lydiard House in Wiltshire, Burghley House in Lincolnshire – built by Elizabeth I’s chief minister and still lived in by his descendants today, Owlpen Manor in Gloucestershire and Chiddingstone Castle in Kent.

Masterpiece with Alan Titchmarsh airs Monday 15 – Friday 19 May at 3.00pm on ITV
