The Murder of Becky Watts Police Tapes ITV

Susanna Reid presents one-off documentary, The Murder of Becky Watts: Police Tapes, airing on Thursday 9 November at 9.00pm on ITV, following the complex and tragic investigation into the murder of Becky Watts.

In 2015, 16- year-old Becky Watts went missing. Her disappearance sparked a major police investigation and dominated the nation’s headlines. The country was desperate to find the missing teenager, but two people did know where Becky was – her stepbrother Nathan and his girlfriend Shauna.

It is now two years since Becky’s body was found, and ITV has unprecedented access to previously unseen footage recorded by the police. The recordings follow the investigation and reveal the astonishing inner workings of how the detectives used strategy and skill to catch Becky’s killers. It includes first person testimony from the police, and shows the tactics used and the ‘cat and mouse’ game that played out in the interviews between the detectives and the suspects.

The Murder of Becky Watts: Police Tapes airs Thursday 9 November 2017 from 9.00pm-10.00pm on ITV.
