Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs airs Thurs 19 Oct on ITV
Paul O’Grady returns to Battersea Dogs and Cats home for a brand new series of his award-winning programme For The Love of Dogs. Comedian and dog-lover Paul meets more of Battersea’s residents and follows them on their journey to finding new homes.
The series is packed with canine capers, laughter and some heartbreaking moments, as Paul and the staff at Battersea care for the abandoned animals. In the first episode, Paul meets an abandoned pregnant dalmatian cross called Fearne, who goes on to give birth to eleven gorgeous puppies. He also helps sharpei cross Max get back into shape.
Max is hugely overweight, and Paul squeezes into Max’s kennel to see if he can assist with his exercise regime. Once outdoors, Paul realises he has taken on more than he bargained for. Paul also falls in love with Wilma, a tiny Yorkie who was found wandering around Battersea Park. The little dog has a serious body odour problem and is infested with fleas. She is given a bath and pampering by Paul and is soon ready for a walk outside and an eventual rehoming – if Paul can bear to part with her…
Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs Episode 1 airs Thursday 19 October 2017 from 8.30pm-9.00pm on ITV.
