The Voice: The Winner's Story Mo Adeneran

Now that the competition is over and a winner has been announced, this programme celebrates The Voice UK 2017 winner Mo Adeniran as he take his next steps to stardom. Following weeks of auditions, battles, knockout rounds and public votes, Mo clinched the title this year as his chosen coach Jennifer Hudson helped lead him to victory.

Warrington-born 21-year-old Mo has faced adversity in his private life with the loss of several close friends and a difficult history within the care system, but has overcome several setbacks and managed to win the hearts of the British public with his powerful renditions of songs by artists as diverse as Sam Cooke, Paolo Nutini, Beyonce, Bob Dylan, Rag’n’Bone Man, Swedish House Mafia, Labrinth and X Ambassadors.

After battling it out against fellow finalists Into the Ark, Jamie and Michelle, Mo eventually claimed victory and secured a lucrative record deal with Polydor, home of artists like Ellie Goulding, Take That and Elbow. What is next for the young singer? The show looks back at his incredible journey over the past few months, finds out how he is coping with his new found fame, and follows him as he hits the studio to record his debut EP.

The Voice: The Winner’s Story airs on Sunday 16 April 2017 at 6.00pm on ITV
