Absent Minded Professor, The (NBC 1988-1989, Harry Anderson)

The Absent Minded Professor was a sitcom based on the classic Disney movies starring Harry Anderson as Henry Crawford, the physics professor at small town Medford College. Henry manages to get himself caught up in all manner of misadventures after he invents a supremely bouncy substance called Flubber.

The story was first filmed in 1961 by Disney with Fred MacMurray in the title role (there was also a sequel called Son of Flubber. Meanwhile the movie was remade as Flubber in 1997 with Robin Williams in the lead.
