In the somewhat strange Angelby, Vera, having been abandoned by her husband and having lost her job, takes a spur of the moment decision to take a job in a small town.
Things take a disturbing turn when on her way into the new town she hits a young boy with her car and assumes she has killed him. However she quickly discovers that strange things are going on everywhere she turns.
