Armchair Theatre: Red Riding Hood (ITV Drama, Rita Tushingham)
In slightly disturbing Armchair Theatre drama Red Riding Hood Grace (Rita Tushingham) regularly visits her ageing grandmother (Hilda Barry) but she has become convinced that something sinister is going on. We are never quite sure whether there are strange things afoot or Grace is on the verge of a complete breakdown.
This was Rita Tushingham’s first TV play and she was given a prestigious TV Times (Oct 6-12, 1973) cover to mark the occasion. There was also a four page interview inside.
