Bob Martin (ITV Comedy, Michael Barrymore, Denis Lawson)

This ITV comedy drama series was about top game show host Bob Martin (Michael Barrymore) who is not so cocksure off screen (but is also prepared to stop at nothing to get what he wants).

Very Larry Sanders, and also heavily influenced by comedian Bob Mills’ previous attempt to do a real Larry Sanders, this was called The Show. There were lots of good quality guest appearances too from the likes of Lynda Bellingham, Cheryl Baker, Julia Sawalha, Terry Wogan, Anthea Turner, Clive Anderson, Michael Aspel and Isla Fisher. Also the episode titles were all named after different TV shows.
