Boy Dominic, The (ITV 1974, Richard Todd, Hildegard Neil)

Period family drama series The Boy Dominic took us back to 1820 where Captain Charles Bulman has adventures after being shipwrecked off the coast of Africa.

Meanwhile back at home Bulman’s son Dominic and his mother are taken under the wing of William Woodcock, an old friend of Bulmans. Mrs Bulman also has to deal with accusations that her husband deliberately scuppered his ship to claim the insurance.

Brian Blessed and Hildegarde Neil met on this series, struck up an instant attraction on this series, the couple married in 1978 and remain so.
