Cabbage Patch, The (ITV 1983, Julia Foster, Emlyn Price)

Short lived sitcom The Cabbage Patch detailed typical family life as seen from the mother’s point of view. Janet (Julia Foster) is a 36-year-old housewife who thinks she has ‘let herself go’ and is struggling to cope ith the demands of life and bringing up her two daughters Kate (Natasha Byrne) and Elizabeth (Amanda Lowdell).

Meanwhile she is also having to cope with husband Tony (Emlyn Price) who doesn’t do much to help, and a mother Lillian (Betty Marsden) who is always interfering.
