Cavern Deep (ITV Kids, Colin Forsythe)

In one off children’s adventure Cavern Deep a trio of teenagers discover an underwater cavern under the hills around Loch Ness. And they come face to face with the infamous monster.

According to The Stage of Thursday 21 October 1976 the drama was planned as a four parter: There is also a new four-part children’s adventure serial for local showing. It is called Cavern Deep and is about the Loch Ness Monster. The authors are James Welsh and Piers Dalgleish, who, under the name Ian Dalgleish, will also be directing. The executive producer is David Bell. The cast includes John Young, John Sheddon, Anne Scott Jones. Michelle Quinn, Ronald Johnstone and Mark Fidelo, who is the son of actress Eileen McCallum. Filming, in the Loch Lomond area has recently finished but there is as yet no transmission date.
