Culloden (BBC-1 1964, George McBean, Olivier Espitalier-Noel)

Highly innovative documentary drama telling the story of the last battle to be fought on British soil in 1746 at Culloden Moor when the Scots did battle with the English. The programme was made as if a news team was reporting on the action. Peter Watkins also made the controversial programme The War Game the following year. The programme featured an amateur cast in the main roles.
