Dive (BBC Drama, Aisling Loftus, Jack O’Connell)

Two part BBC drama Dive takes us into the world of obsessive teenage love when 16 Lindsey Macallum (Aisling Loftus), who is a strong contender for the 2012 Olympic Dive Team, falls for school bad boy Robert Wisley (Jack O’Connell). Soon Lindsay’s diving is suffering as all she can think about is Robert. When Lindsay is attacked by one of Robert’s ex-girlfriends she winds up in hospital and discovers she is pregnant. She’s left with a terrible choice to make, her baby or the swimming career she has worked so hard for.

Meanwhile Robert is struggling with changes to his own life, he’s gone from being the cool dude at school to being concerned about being tied down with Lindsay for the rest of his life.

Clever and strongly scripted Dive offers up some inisight into the world of modern teenage relationships, the drama is actually told from Lindsay’s point of view in the first episode and from Robert’s in the second.
