Period drama serial Eureka Stockade told the true story of the 1854 Victoria gold miners rebellion led by a pair of Irishmen – Timothy Hayes and Peter Lalor. Filmed at Bendigo in Victoria. On Thursday 3 February 1977 @ 9.30pm Channel 7 broadcast an hour long documentary about the event.
