Fainthearted Feminist, The (BBC-2 1984, Lynn Redgrave, Jonathan Newth)

Sitcom The Fainthearted Feminist was based on a Guardian newspaper column of the same name by Jill Tweedie (she also co-wrote this) with Lynn Redgrave playing confirmed women’s libber Martha struggling to stick to her ideals now that she is a wife and mother to three kids.

Most of the action was centered around the Sebastapol Women’s Centre and Martha’s home where her husband Josh has no idea about much of anything.
