The Flying Swan BBC One 1965

Drama series The Flying Swan saw British screen icon Margaret Lockwood take the starring role as Mollie Manning, who, along with her daughter Carol (played by Margaret’s real life daughter Julia Lockwood), runs a small hotel by the Thames.

Most sources will quote this series as a sequel to 1957 series The Royalty and that is more or less the case. The setting for that was an upmarket hotel (the Royalty of the title) and Margaret and Julia did star in that series as Mollie and Carol although the surname was Miller not Manning. Writer Donald Wilson was also behind both series.
