Children’s sitcom Follow That Dog followed blundering P.C. Fogg is able to solve his cases with the help of ‘telepathic’ dog.
P.C. Fogg keeps a veritable menagerie in his police station and even has a mouse in his helmet. The sleepy village he lives in is something of a crime-free zone but his angry chief wants to see some improvement in the crime figures so he sends no-nonsense female police sergeant Sgt Bryant to stir things up.
When a major crime wave breaks out Fogg discovers that his dog Parry is able to transmit the solution whilst they are both asleep.
In real life the dog was a Basset Hound called Parthenon Parry and was a regular on TV and commercials throughout the seventies.
