Freedom Roadshow (ITV 1971-1972, Malcolm Stewart, Russell Harty)

Discussion series Freedom Roadshow focused on the world of the under 25’s. Their lifestyles, their beliefs and their likes and dislikes. Some episodes also featured a musical performance.

The first episode looked at people leaving home for the first time. There was also a performance from late 60’s cult group Quintessence. Episode two looked at people “doing their own thing” and there was a performance from Radha Krsna Temple.

Episode 3 focused on money, episode 4 was about marriage, edition 5 looked at law and order, the sixth episode looked at ideas the young have. The seventh episode was all about jealousy. The eighth and final edition, hosted by Russell Harty, looked at the education system.

Episodes 1-3 were presented by Malcolm Stewart, Angela Huth presented episodes 4 and 7, Fenton Bresler was host of episode 5, Gillian Reynolds co-presented episode 7, with Russell Harty hosting the last edition.
