Gemini Man (NBC 1976, Ben Murphy, Katherine Crawford)

Gemini Man was a science fiction adventure series. While attempting to recover a space capsule from the ocean, Intersect Agent Sam Casey is caught in an underwater explosion that, due to heavy radiation, effects his DNA molecular field structure and causes invisibility.

By incorporating sophisticated subminiature DNA stabilizer in a nuclear powered digital wristwatch, Dr. Abby Lawrence finds a means by which to control Casey’s invisibility: when the three gold contacts on the base of the watch touch his skin, he remains visible; however, by pressing the stem of the watch, Sam can change the frequency and revert to invisibility for a limit of fifteen minutes a day; any longer and he will disintegrate.

Stories depicts Sam’s assignments on behalf of Interesect (International Security Technics), a U.S. government research organization.

The show was quickly cancelled in the US after 5 episodes but was a hit in the UK where all 11 episodes aired and quite a bit of merchandise followed including a Tie-In annual in 1977. Somewhat strangely a TV movie called Riding With Death aired in 1981, this was cobbled together from the episodes Smithereens and Buffalo Bill Rides Again.
