ITV action adventure series Hannay detailed the exploits of derring do with adventurer Richard Hannay (Robert Powell) in the early part of the 20th Century.
Michael Robson wrote most of the episodes but the legendary Richard Carpenter also contributed a couple of scripts for season two. Guest stars were good and included the likes of Dominique Barnes, Terrence Hardiman, Christopher Scoular, Michael Culver, Serena Gordon, Frank Mills, Anthony Valentine, Alex Kingston and Sharon Maughan.
Powell had earlier played Richard in a 1979 movie version of The Thirty Nine Steps (this had also been scripted by Michael Robson).
