Hearts of Gold is a two-part drama based on the first of eight novels by Catrin Collier, a Welsh novelist who is described as “the new Catherine Cookson.”
Set in a 1930’s South Wales village telling the story of Bethan Powell with a father who is out of work and a family that are struggling to get by on her wages as a nurse; and what happens when she falls in love with handsome and well-to-do doctor Andrew John.
