High Stakes (ITV 2001, Richard Wilson, Jack Shepherd)
Sitcom High Stakes told stories of Bruce Morton, managing director of an investment bank, Morton is none too happy when former civil servant Nicholas Quinn is made chairman.
Quinn is not a businessman, having spent his entire working career in the civil service. He has some rather strong ideas on how he can “revamp” the bank.
The series didn’t find an audience and a second season, that had already been filmed, ended up not being shown and still remains “on the shelf”.
