Huge (ABC Family 2010, Gina Torres, Hayley Hasselhoff)

Drama series Huge, based on the book by Sasha Paley, follows a group of teens spending time at a fat camp as they struggle to lose weight and deal with the numerous issues that surround them, from low self esteem, poor body image and what they see as a lack of romantic possibilities.

Will is a young girl who doesn’t want to be at Camp Victory and is not shy of expressing her opinions whilst the sympathetic Dr Rand is in charge of the camp.

The notion of the teen fat camp has really taken off in the last few years as our exercise shy and technology obsessed youth get bigger and bigger and the camp itself is the ideal setting for an ensemble piece. Hayley Hasselhoff who plays Amber in the series is the daughter of David Hasselhoff.
