Indian Dream (BBC-2 2003, Christopher Bisson, Koel Purie)

Surender, an English Literature teacher from India, comes to England for a holiday but loses his passport and is taken to be an asylum seeker. He escapes from the detention centre and finds refuge in a peaceful English village where his charm and knowledge of Shakespeare helps him secure a place in their amateur production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
